Alex aka "Spud" embarked on his career journey through a school-based apprenticeship in waterproofing under the guidance of his father, a seasoned professional in the field.
This early exposure laid the foundation for Alex's expertise in waterproofing techniques. By 2008, Alex had attained full qualification as a waterproofer, specializing in fibreglass resin and polyurethane materials. For five years, he dedicated himself fully to the craft, honing his skills and gaining valuable hands-on experience.
In pursuit of new challenges, Alex chose to expand his horizons and enlisted in the Australian Navy. During his service of seven years, he achieved dual trade qualifications as an electrical marine technician and electrical mechanical engineer, demonstrating his adaptability and commitment to professional growth.
In 2020, Alex decided to return to his roots and rekindle his passion for waterproofing. He joined the Blutec Waterproofing team a few years after, where he quickly became known for his exceptional skills and dedication. Today, Alex is a highly valued member of the team, bringing a wealth of seasoned experience and a commitment to excellence to every project.
Outside of work, Alex is a devoted husband and a supportive teammate known for his loyalty and willingness to go above and beyond. He approaches every job with a personal touch, ensuring that each waterproofing task is executed to the highest standard, as if it were for his own home.
